Job summary

Bozeman Health is seeking an Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer to provide specialized high-risk obstetric ultrasound services, assist with invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS, and ensure diagnostic quality imaging for patient care.

The role requires advanced expertise in detecting fetal pathology, education of patients, and collaboration with MFM physicians and clinical staff. Schedule emphasizes work-life balance with two 9-hour day shifts per week, no weekends or call.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program through CAAHEP.
• ARDMS R.D.M.S. (OB/GYN) certification is required.
• FE registry or ability to obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-risk obstetric ultrasound studies according to established protocols.
• Assist MFM physicians with invasive obstetric procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS.
• Import images and data into Viewpoint and PACS systems with accurate documentation.
• Evaluate fetal anatomy and growth, identify abnormalities, and obtain additional imaging as directed.
• Provide patient education and support before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain examination rooms and ensure readiness for procedures.
• Perform high-level disinfection of ultrasound transducers.
• Collaborate with MFM physicians and staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and mentor new sonographers and students.

CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program

ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (OB/GYN)

ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography (FE) registry or ability to obtain within 1 year
