Job summary

Bozeman Health's Women’s and Children’s Services seeks a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to perform advanced OB ultrasound studies, assist with invasive procedures, and ensure diagnostic quality imaging for high-risk pregnancies.

You will educate patients, collaborate with MFM physicians and staff, and mentor students while contributing to quality improvement and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (OB/GYN) credential.
• ARDMS FE registry or eligible within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-risk obstetric ultrasound studies per established protocols.
• Assist MFM physicians with invasive obstetric procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS.
• Import images and clinical data into Viewpoint and PACS, ensuring accurate patient records.
• Evaluate fetal anatomy, growth, and well-being; identify abnormal findings and obtain additional images as directed.
• Provide patient education and support before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain examination rooms, ensure cleanliness, stock supplies, and readiness for procedures.
• Perform high-level disinfection of ultrasound transducers per infection control standards.
• Collaborate with MFM physicians, AP providers, and clinical staff for coordinated care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental process improvements.
• Mentor and support new sonographers and students in the MFM setting.
• Other related duties as assigned.
