Job Summary

Serve as the site representative for the Process Safety Management (PSM) program, from initiation to ongoing maintenance. The PSM program aims to prevent or minimize accidental ammonia releases. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and accurately to enhance the plant's performance in Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and our Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership aligned with our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles, demonstrating core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum Requirements
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Availability to attend maintenance courses outside regular hours.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • OSHA Certification.
  • RETA Certification.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, PBL, EMPAC, or similar software.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate plant compliance with OSHA PSM regulations, including tracking change authorizations, schedules, and hazard analyses.
  • Conduct audits and ensure employee communication and involvement in PSM.
  • Develop, document, and implement the 14 elements of OSHA PSM.
  • Work with maintenance management on corrective actions from audits.
  • Coordinate safety training with the safety manager.
  • Collaborate with contractors and internal contacts to develop procedures, policies, and training for OSHA compliance.
  • Serve as the principal liaison with local emergency planning committees.
  • Assist other facilities with PSM program implementation, training, and compliance efforts.
  • Manage preventive maintenance work orders, including calibration of confined space monitors.
  • Coordinate ammonia refrigeration system maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Lead regular PSM team meetings and participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
  • Work with training managers to identify and address training needs.
  • Prepare and present program information for audits and inspections.
  • Maintain compliance with additional regulatory programs, such as ARC Flash.
  • Follow established safety, quality, and regulatory policies to ensure safe, compliant operations.
  • Maintain flexibility to work variable hours, including overtime as needed.
  • Adhere to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Work safely around ingredients and products containing food allergens.
