Job summary

Schwan Cosmetics USA in Murfreesboro, TN is hiring a Line Technician II for 2nd or 3rd shift on a full-time basis. You will operate production lines, perform quality checks, and support continual improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role requires 1–2 years of high-volume manufacturing experience, a HS diploma or GED, strong math and measurement skills, and fluency in English. You’ll rotate across machines, document scrap, and maintain a clean, safe workspace following 5S

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced proficiency in basic math and the ability to read rulers and micrometers accurately.
• Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily quality checks with attention to detail on attributes like barcodes, seals, and graphics.
• Oversee feeding and packing operations across multiple production technologies.
• Respond quickly to line issues and troubleshoot with Senior Line Technicians.
• Rotate between machines to maintain optimal line flow and report quality/foreign material issues.
• Track and document scrap rates per good documentation practices.
• Assist with line changeovers and line clearance movements.
• Perform autonomous maintenance tasks with minimal guidance.
• Build skills across production machinery to support cross-functional operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace following cGMP and 5S standards.
• Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Quality Control & Line Operations (60%):

Perform daily quality checks with high attention to detail,visually inspecting critical attributes like barcodes,seals,and graphics.

Oversee product feeding and packing operations across multiple production technologies.

Respond quickly to line issues,collaborating with Senior Line Technicians to troubleshoot when needed.

Rotate seamlessly between different machines to maintain optimal line flow,reporting quality/foreign material issues promptly.

Track and document scrap rates according to good documentation practices.

Assist with smooth line changeovers and line clearance movements.

Perform autonomous maintenance tasks with minimal guidance.

Continuously build skills across diverse production machinery to support cross-functional operations.

Active participant in safety initiatives,continuous improvement projects,and eco-friendly practices.

Take on key operational tasks and special assignments requested by the supervisor or department manager.

What You Bring to the Role

Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume,machine-paced manufacturing environment (or equivalent combined education/experience).

Education: High School Diploma,GED,or equivalent experience.

Math & Measurement Skills: Advanced proficiency in basic math (addition,subtraction,multiplication,division) and the ability to read rulers and micrometers accurately.

Language Skills: Fluent in speaking,reading,comprehending,and writing in English.

Core Strengths: Sharp attention to detail,strong accountability,mechanical adaptability,resilience,and a collaborative team mindset.
