MFG FOOD SAFETY & SANITATION SUPERVISOR (Finance)

Plan, coordinate, and supervise the daily activities of assigned departments, such as QA and Sanitation, to ensure efficient operations. Responsible for ensuring all tasks performed by associates and others are done safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve the plant's performance in Safety, Quality, and Reliability (SQR), aligned with our Customer 1st strategy. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of sanitation experience
  • Thorough knowledge of department operations and procedures
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand complex instructions
  • Ability to write brief reports and log documentation
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a discipline supporting food manufacturing operations
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing plant
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing practices
Responsibilities
  • Support and participate in the plant's safety processes
  • Oversee daily activities of the assigned shift, relying on a high degree of concentration and knowledge of operations, providing necessary communication with managers, leads, and associates
  • Ensure micro-sensitive compliance through sensitive cleaning practices according to sanitation standards and quality requirements
  • Plan, coordinate, and advise department associates on daily tasks
  • Oversee daily setup of machinery and equipment prior to production for optimal operation
  • Monitor sanitation processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards
  • Address and resolve operational issues during the shift
  • Monitor staff performance to ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards
  • Provide daily verbal and written reports to leadership and relevant personnel, maintaining proper documentation
  • Visually inspect equipment and facilities for cleanliness, perform micro testing, and maintain environmental testing programs
  • Facilitate or schedule regular communication meetings with department staff
  • Provide ongoing training to develop associates and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Offer regular performance feedback aligned with department and plant goals
  • Supervise and coach direct reports, conduct performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback
  • Follow established safety, quality, and regulatory programs to produce safe, compliant food products
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
