Job Title: Sanitation Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain sanitary building, equipment, and utensils used in producing high-quality products.
  2. Schedule cleaning frequencies, develop methods, and train staff in procedures.
  3. Ensure all sanitation tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and accurately to improve plant performance in SQR areas.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of sanitation department operations and procedures.
  • Clear communication skills for internal and external relations.
  • Ability to understand complex instructions and document reports.
  • College degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Basic math and computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Sanitation experience in manufacturing settings.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support and participate in plant safety processes.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly plant environment, working in dairy manufacturing conditions with noise and temperature extremes.
  • Ensure products are free of contamination by eliminating sources of infestation and unsanitary conditions.
  • Train and develop sanitation staff, operating sanitation equipment manually.
  • Monitor plant operations, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on government sanitation regulations.
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory control.
  • Develop and maintain the plant's sanitation schedule.
  • Plan activities and communicate with management regarding sanitation operations.
  • Conduct sanitation inspections and participate in audits.
  • Supervise and evaluate sanitation team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Follow policies and practices to produce safe, quality food meeting regulatory standards.
  • Support SQF 2000 Systems development and maintenance.
  • Adhere to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
