Mets Summer Camps Early Childhood Teacher

Join us as an Early Childhood Teacher at Mets Baseball & Softball Camps for a summer filled with fun, sports, and learning! We are hiring for a three to ten-week commitment to positively impact young campers' lives and foster a love for sports and the Mets brand.

Pay Range

This range is provided by Mets Baseball & Softball Camps. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. Please talk to your recruiter for more details.

Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Job Overview

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will:

• Ensure a safe and engaging environment for campers aged 4-12
• Supervise and counsel campers, using positive discipline techniques
• Execute the camp curriculum under the direction of the Site Director
• Provide feedback during activities and highlight learning moments
• Collaborate with team members to uphold the camp’s reputation

Qualifications

• Availability for a Monday-Friday schedule, approximately 8 hours per day, for at least 3-5 weeks
• Reliable transportation to various camp sites
• Ability to pass a background check
• Child management experience and basic baseball knowledge
• Enrolled in or pursuing a degree in early childhood education and familiar with childhood development principles

Camp Locations

Locations include Fairfield, Pound Ridge, Stamford, Port Chester, Darien, Mamaroneck, Hartsdale, New Canaan, Southampton, Huntington, Brooklyn, Bayside, Elmont, Hicksville, and Smithtown.

Compensation Details

• Professional Educator: $20.00/hour (must have at least 1 year of paid teaching experience or certification)
• College Student/Recent Graduate: $17/hour
