Mets Summer Camps Early Childhood Teacher

Join us as an Early Childhood Teacher at Mets Baseball & Softball Camps and make a positive impact on children's lives this summer. This role involves teaching and supervising campers aged 4-12, ensuring a safe and fun environment, and executing the camp curriculum under the guidance of the Site Director.

Position Details:

• Duration: 3 to 10 weeks during summer 2025
• Location: Various sites including Fairfield, Stamford, Port Chester, and more
• Pay Range: $17.00/hr - $20.00/hr, depending on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe environment for campers
• Supervise and counsel campers, using positive discipline techniques
• Manage activities and motivate campers to enjoy their experience
• Implement the camp curriculum and provide feedback
• Work collaboratively with team members to uphold camp standards

Qualifications:

• Availability for Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day, for a minimum of 3-5 weeks
• Reliable transportation to various camp sites
• Child management experience and basic knowledge of baseball
• Pursuing or holding a degree in early childhood education and understanding childhood development principles

Additional Information:

• Participate in end-of-summer rally at Citi Field
• Interview process includes a virtual interview with the MLB Camps Director
• Compensation varies: $20/hr for professional educators with teaching experience, $17/hr for college students or recent grads pursuing a teaching credential
