Job summary

Techmer PM is seeking a Metrology Technician for our Clinton, TN facility on 1st shift in a part-time capacity. The role supports Lab/QC, reports to the Quality Manager, and focuses on ensuring accuracy of instruments and measurement systems across manufacturing and R&D processes.

You will calibrate instruments, develop procedures, analyze data, and ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and other standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with calibration and measurement systems.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025.
• Proficient in measurement software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Prior experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with statistical analysis and data interpretation.
• Knowledge of quality management systems.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and calibrate measurement instruments and systems as needed
• Manage all external Calibration Vendors
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of measurement equipment
• Analyze measurement data to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Develop measurement procedures and protocols as needed
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Provide technical support and training to other departments as needed
• Document and report measurement and calibration results
• Conduct research to improve measurement techniques and technologies
• Collaborate with team to resolve measurement challenges
• Certify equipment and processes according to national and international standards as needed
