Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Perrysburg, Ohio seeks a Metrology Technician to develop calibration systems, define measurement standards, and quantify uncertainty in measurements. You will lead precision metrology activities and program CMMs while collaborating with engineering and quality teams.

Role requires 5+ years in metrology or industrial maintenance, GD&T proficiency, and experience with PC-DMIS, PLCs, CNC, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred.
• 5+ years in Metrology, CMM programming or industrial maintenance in manufacturing.
• Strong reading of GD&T, blueprints, and electrical/mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Govern calibration systems and define standards for base/derived units.
• Program and operate CMMs; GD&T expert for the division.
• Identify sources of error and perform root cause analysis to improve quality.
• Perform analytical tests on materials and inspect products to substantiate claims.
• Lead cross-functional teams in measurement standards and support ISO/NIST committees.
• Maintain equipment and facilities including PLCs, CNCs, and 480V electrical systems.
