Job summary

Advanced Technology Services, Inc. is seeking a Calibration Metrology Technician II to perform field calibration, repairs, and technical support at customer sites. You will read specifications, set up fixtures, and document calibration data and certificates.

Strong attention to safety and accuracy is essential for delivering reliable metrology results. The role requires an associate degree with several years of related experience, along with the ability to work across departments and communicate

Qualifications

• Associates degree and four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees; work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistics, geometry and trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Travels to customer site for calibration, repair, and technical support when necessary.
• Reads quality control manual and testing specifications to obtain data to test or calibrate specific devices.
• Selects and installs accessories and connects instruments to fixtures according to specifications.
• Sets controls to regulate factors and activates test or calibration equipment.
• Observes readings to identify defects and determine calibration requirements.
• Adjusts calibration mechanisms to obtain specified performance.
• Prepares calibration certificates and data reports.
• Interacts with other departments to resolve issues.
• Assists in development of calibration procedures and in evaluating jobs.
