Job summary

Anduril Industries in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Metrology Specialist to advance maritime manufacturing processes. You will blend hands-on inspection with data-driven engineering analysis, developing automated CMM inspection routines, and creating alignment strategies for large-scale measurements within an AS9100 system.

You will collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on DFx feedback, interpret complex drawings and 3D CAD models, and report findings to drive corrective actions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in manufacturing, quality, or metrology engineering.
• Strong GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with PC‑DMIS or Polyworks.
• Experience in QMS environments (AS9100/ISO 9001).
• Ability to read complex drawings and CAD models.
• Eligible for active U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and execute inspection routines for CMMs using PC‑DMIS or Polyworks.
• Analyze inspection data to perform root cause analysis, support SPC initiatives, and conduct capability studies.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers for DFM/DFI feedback on new products.
• Interpret GD&T and 3D CAD to create comprehensive inspection plans that validate requirements.
• Generate inspection reports and present findings to drive corrective actions.
• Support SOPs for metrology within AS9100 QMS.
• Maintain metrology equipment calibration and help select new measurement technology.
