Job summary
Torrey Holistics is seeking a full-time Quality Control Metrologist in Minneapolis to verify parts against drawings using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs with PC-DMIS. You will own dimensional verification, data-backed reporting, and calibration maintenance to ensure inspection equipment reliability.
Ideal candidates have GD&T interpretation skills, strong shop math, and experience calibrating metrology tools within ISO 9001/13485 environments.
Qualifications
- Solid shop math and mechanical aptitude.
- Understanding of machining and manufacturing workflows.
- Experience with calibration practices.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer drawings into inspection steps and checkpoints.
- Follow the quality control plan and document everything with rigor.
- Measure critical features and validate tolerances.
- Create FAIR packages and issue final inspection certifications.
- Spot and escalate nonconformances such as scratches, burrs, cosmetic issues, or out-of-tolerance conditions.
- Maintain, store, and support calibration of all metrology tools.
