Job summary

TOMZ Corporation in Big Lake, MN is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer/Metrologist to develop and maintain metrology programs for inspecting production materials and components. You will design fixtures, verify programs for bias and reproducibility, and support data collection and calibration to ensure measurement accuracy across R&D, Manufacturing and QA using Calypso or Open DMIS.

Proven ability to read GD&T, work with ASME Y14.5 standards, and coordinate with cross-functional teams is essential

Qualifications

Knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances ASME Y14.5.
Proficiency with CMMs, Vision Systems and related tools.
Strong English communication, both verbal and written.
Experience with Calypso CMM or Open DMIS software.
Ability to work across R&D, Manufacturing and QA.
Experience with 3D modeling and drafting.
Familiarity with GMP/ISO standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, verify, and operate automated inspection programs for first piece, in-process and final inspections.
Prove out programs to minimize measurement bias and errors.
Maintain automated inspection machines, probes, and scales.
Design fixtures for inspection during product development.
Support data collection from measurement equipment to inspection plans.
Develop inspection methods, FAI's and in-process checks.
Assist calibration activities to ensure traceability.
