Job summary

GDIT seeks a Tier 3 Metrology Senior Technician to support mission-critical government projects. You will develop policies, manage calibration schedules, and ensure alignment with ANSI/ISO standards while applying metrology expertise to achieve objectives.

Requires a TS/SCI with polygraph, 5+ years of Tier 3 experience, and full-time onsite work at a government facility. Strong MS Office skills and familiarity with Fluke and Keysight tools are expected.

Qualifications

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Tier 3 Metrology Technician, the work youll do at GDIT supports the mission of our customer.

Develops and maintains metrology policies and procedures and ensures they support customer mission requirements and objectives.

Manages the development and administration of metrology schedule and calibration requirements; may have budget responsibilities.

Keeps well-informed of new metrology technologies and industry best practices and trends and then plans and advises for implementation.

Familiar with American National Standards for Calibration including ANSI/NCSL Z540, ANS/ISO/IEC 17025

Maintains knowledge of relevant Metrology/PMEL techniques and Calibration laboratory practices

Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite and familiarity of Fluke MET/Team, Fluke MET/CAL, Keysight TME, and other tools and equipment

Oversee metrology process to meet customer mission objectives effectively and economically.

Manages vendor relationships and billing reconciliations.

Provides guidance and solutions to ensure metrology needs align with customer mission requirements.

Participates in special metrology projects as required.

• Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent technical education, training, expertise, and experience in metrology and calibration
• Experience: 5+ years of related Tier 3 level metrology experience
• Technical skills: metrology techniques, metrology software, and metrology laboratory calibration of various test and measurement equipment assets and tools
• Security clearance level: TS/SCI with polygraph
• US citizenship required
• Role requirements: Full time/ onsite at Government facility
