Royal Technologies Corp. is seeking a Metrology Lab Technician based in Hudsonville, MI, at our Quincy facility. You will perform layout hand checks, manage calibrations, create GOIs, and scan parts for engineering and quality teams.

You will report to the Metrology Lab Manager and thrive in a fast-paced lab environment. The role requires 2+ years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Formación

• At least 2+ years of experience in metrology or a related lab environment.
• High school diploma or GED required; GD&T training is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to work in a fast-paced lab.

Responsabilidades

• Perform layout hand checks using calipers, height gages, gage pins, and dedicated gages.
• Create GOIs and manage gage calibrations; scan parts for engineering or quality teams.
• Scan with Polyworks and perform Gage R&R or capability studies as needed.
• Prepare Gage Operating Instructions and coordinate calibrations with outside vendors.
• Maintain Excel records and own gage calibration data across plants.

What You’ll Do

The Metrology Lab Technician will be responsible for performing layout hand checks using calipers, height gages, gage pins, dedicated gages, etc. for all engineering layout activity. This role will also create GOI's, manage and perform gage calibrations, as well as scan parts when requested by the engineering or quality team. The fast-paced environment in the lab requires significant multitasking and strong organizational skills. Based out of our Quincy facility in Hudsonville, this position reports directly to the Metrology Lab Manager.

• Customer dedicated gages/holding fixtures
• SPC gages
• Scanning using Polyworks software

• Gage R&R's
• Capability studies
• 1st article inspection
• Performing scans using Faro Arm/Polyworks
• Creating Gage Operating Instructions

Experience using Microsoft Excel

Own gage calibrations for all plants using GageTrak software

Work with outside vendors for calibrations

Qualifications
