Corning is seeking a dedicated Measurement Engineer to provide programming and metrology support in a glass manufacturing setting. You will oversee interferometers, spectrophotometers, FTIR and other measurement systems, interfacing with sales, product engineering and customers to resolve specification vs.

capability gaps. Responsibilities include leading upgrades and new installations, documenting processes, drafting experiment plans, and participating in cross-functional Process Engineering

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Optics, Optical Engineering or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years experience in engineering, metrology, or optics role
• Experience with Word, Access and Excel; ability to build queries and spreadsheets

Responsabilidades

• Represent Metrology Department in meetings to resolve spec vs measurement capability issues with sales, product engineering and customers
• Lead projects to improve capacity, capability or cost of current measurement equipment or install new equipment as needed
• Write, audit and maintain process documentation as needed and on schedule
• Write experiment plans and reports
• Attend Process Engineering and/or Production-related meetings
