Job summary

Corning Incorporated, a leader in glass, ceramics, and materials science, is seeking a Measurements Systems engineer to advance optical fiber manufacturing. You will apply advanced measurement methods to improve processes, reduce costs, and deploy new technologies across global sites.

The role requires 3+ years in engineering with measurement focus, strong data-analysis skills (Access, Excel, Minitab, JMP, Databricks) and collaboration across manufacturing, technology, R&D, IT, and supply chain.

Qualifications

• ABET- or equivalent-accredited engineering degree in listed fields.
• 3+ years of engineering experience focusing on measurement concepts.
• Strong data analysis using listed tools.
• Experience collaborating across manufacturing, technology, R&D, operations, IT, and supply chain

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced measurement engineering concepts—including non-contact and optical methods—to drive capability advancements in glass manufacturing processes.
• Lead cost reduction and process improvement projects with division-wide impact.
• Partner with technology and plant manufacturing teams to deploy new technologies, products, and processes; identify and lead implementation of required measurement capabilities.
• Collaborate with global manufacturing sites to coordinate and resolve glassmaking-related technical issues with a focus on measurements.
• Support and improve existing optical measurement systems
