Job summary

Daimler Truck North America’s Detroit Powertrain Test Center seeks a Metrology Engineer to support precision measurement activities for prototype powertrain components. You will help develop measurement methods, analyze data, and contribute to continuous improvement of metrology systems.

Role requires collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure quality objectives and robust validation of measurements. Onsite work in Detroit, MI with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Engineering or related field.
• 0-3 years of relevant engineering, manufacturing, metrology, or quality experience.
• Familiarity with GD&T, dimensional inspection, and statistical analysis concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement measurement methodologies, fixtures, and procedures.
• Collect, analyze, and document measurement data for reports and validation.
• Assist calibration, maintenance, and verification of measurement equipment.
• Collaborate with product engineering, quality, and manufacturing to support development and validation.
• Create and maintain work instructions and procedures, upholding safety and 5S principles.
