Siemens Energy is seeking a Metrology Engineer to support strategic Gas Services growth by integrating structured light scanning inspection capabilities within the Winston-Salem Additive Manufacturing team. You will develop, program, and execute metrology programs, perform high-precision 3D optical scanning, and analyze inspection data to validate conformance.

You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to investigate non-conformances, root causes, and corrective actions

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of metrology engineering, quality inspection, or high-precision manufacturing.
• Experience with 3D optical/structured light scanning systems and GD&T in industrial settings.
• Experience developing/executing structured light scanning (GOM/ZEISS ATOS) and CMM programs.
• Proficiency with 3D metrology software (GOM Inspect, PolyWorks, Geomagic).
• Knowledge of CAD tools (NX, SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of additive manufacturing, SPC, and data analysis.
• ASQ CQE, GD&T ASME Y14.5, ZEISS/GOM certs preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, program, and execute structured light scanning and CMM inspection programs for complex AM components.
• Perform high-precision 3D optical/laser scanning and tactile measurements with calibrated metrology equipment.
• Analyze 3D scan data and generate inspection reports, comparing to CAD using GD&T.
• Collaborate with engineering/quality to investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize inspection workflows to reduce cycle times and support component delivery schedules.
• Provide design-for-inspection feedback and train personnel on metrology tools and procedures.
