Job summary

Crossroads Turning Points Inc in Alamosa, CO is seeking a Dispensing Nurse Supervisor to oversee the OTP Coordinator and dispensing nurses. You will measure and dispense methadone and other medications per doctor orders, while maintaining medical records in the OTP clinic and program.

Position requires LPN licensure in Colorado, preferred substance abuse experience, and adherence to FDA/DEA/DBH regulations.

Qualifications

Education: LPN license from the state of Colorado or a multistate institution with some classes in a human service area such as psychology.
Experience: Prefer prior experience in the substance abuse field.
Other: Knowledge of applicable laws regarding medication dispensing, storage, and accountability.

Responsibilities

Order, receipt, dispense, and record medications per applicable rules and regulations.
Dose and document methadone doses within clinic hours.
Report inconsistencies regarding controlled substances to the Agency SUD Director.
Schedule and supervise assigned staff.
Provide direction and support to assigned staff.
Maintain a clean, safe work area and report hazards.
Observe phlebotomy procedures when performing HIV testing.
Observe patients for urinalysis as needed.
