Job Details

Job Title: Dispensing Nurse (Part-Time and PRN)

Location: Pueblo, CO 81001

Salary Range: $61,156.00 - $61,156.00 per year. Rate: $29.50 per hour.

Shift: Day shift, Tuesday – Saturday 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Overview

Responsible for measuring and dispensing methadone and other medications in accordance with doctors' orders and regulatory requirements from the FDA, DEA, and OBH. Provides nursing services, maintains medical records for the Opioid Treatment Program, and ensures a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Order, receive, dispense, and keep records for medications per applicable rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with program supervisors and behavioral health clinicians to ensure accurate dispensing of all medications per physician orders.
• Dose and document all methadone doses within scheduled clinic hours.
• Report inconsistencies and problems regarding the handling of controlled substances to the immediate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and immediately report any potential hazards to the immediate supervisor.
• Observe patients for urine analyses.

Qualifications

• Education: LPN or RN license for the State of Colorado or a multi‑state license.
• Continuing education: Required in human services, psychology, or related fields.
• Experience: Prefer prior experience in the substance use treatment field.
• Knowledge of applicable laws regarding medication dispensing, storage, and accountability.
• Basic computer skills required.

• May require bending and lifting; maximum weight for any physical moving requirement should not exceed 25 lbs.
