Job summary

Alaska Power & Telephone is seeking a Metering Program Lead to own metering work across our systems, with field responsibilities and remote eligibility in Alaska or the Pacific Northwest. The role requires leadership on metering upgrades, AMI deployments, and documentation across AP&T.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in metering, a technical degree or journeyman-level experience, and the ability to travel to remote sites.

Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year degree in electrical/electronics engineering technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years of hands-on electric metering experience including installation, configuration, and testing.
• Ability to interpret metering standards, NESC, and NEC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Specify, procure, and manage meters, CTs, PTs, and related equipment.
• Configure and program meters and communication devices.
• Develop and maintain metering standards and documentation.
• Lead meter audit program and support regulatory documentation.
• Travel to remote sites up to 30% of workload and provide field support.
