Job summary

Georgia System Operations Corporation (GSOC) seeks a Metering and Historian Systems Engineer to ensure revenue-grade meter data and historian data are accurate, secure, and available for energy accounting, billing, settlements, and control center operations.

The role spans data management, system integration, and operational technology, supporting GSOC and partner entities with data-driven insights and reliable grid operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Experience with utility metering, historian platforms, EMS/SCADA, or related environments.
• Ability to investigate data issues and communicate conclusions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain end-to-end flow of revenue meter data and related processes.
• Ensure data is accurate, complete, timely, and traceable.
• Support billing, settlements, and energy accounting activities.
• Investigate data anomalies and document resolutions.
• Analyze load and interval data for correlations and reconstructions.
• Provide training and technical support for relevant tools.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
