Georgia System Operations Corporation (GSOC) seeks a Senior Energy Systems Analyst to own applications, data processes, and controls for accurate member billing and settlements. You will lead development using Excel/VBA, SQL, Microsoft Power Platform, and related tech while partnering across Energy Settlements and Data Systems.

The role blends business analysis with technical leadership to drive improvements, ensure audit readiness, and deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in energy billing, settlements, or data-processing applications.
• Advanced Excel with VBA
• Translate contracts or policies into data/requirements.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational data concepts.
• Experience with design, testing, implementation, and QA.

Responsibilities

• Own and design applications for energy billing, settlements, and reporting.
• Develop and support solutions using Excel/VBA, SQL, and Power Platform.
• Collaborate with Data Systems on database design and data integration.
• Engage users to validate requirements and data quality.
• Support recurring billing and settlement activities for multiple systems.
• Maintain data, calculation logic, and business rules; resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate issue resolution and ensure timely billing data.
• Translate contracts and policies into functional and technical specs.
• Analyze data trends and suggest automation and controls improvements.
• Forecast and apply statistical analyses to guide decisions.
• Represent the department in cross-company policy and system changes.
• Gather data to support contractual bills and audit requests.
• Provide training and documentation for applications and processes.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to leadership feedback.
