Zusammenfassung

Georgia System Operations Corporation (GSOC) seeks a Metering and Historian Data Systems Engineer to ensure accurate, available, and secure revenue-metering data and historian data used for energy accounting, settlements, and control center operations.

You will maintain data flows across meter data management, historian platforms, and associated tooling, while investigating data issues, validating data quality, and supporting monthly billing activities.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Data/Information Systems, or a related technical field is required or equivalent.
• Experience or aptitude in utility metering, historian platforms, EMS/SCADA, operational technology, energy accounting, settlements, data systems, or related environments.
• Ability to investigate complex data issues, reconcile multiple sources, recognize patterns and anomalies, and communicate conclusions clearly.
• Strong documentation, organization, customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Bulk Electric System Cyber Authorization Status per GSOC policy and NERC CIP-004.

Aufgaben

• Administer, monitor, maintain, and enhance revenue meter data and downstream processes.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, security, and traceability.
• Maintain historian data flows from EMS/SCADA and plants to control center operators and settlements.
• Investigate exceptions by comparing sources, coordinate corrective actions, and document resolutions.
• Analyze load and interval meter data; develop correlations and load-reconstruction methods when data is unavailable.
• Support monthly billing and settlements by validating data and resolving exceptions within required timeframes.
• Analyze changes to the Georgia Integrated Transmission System and interfaces to validate downstream impacts.
• Provide technical support, training, and documentation for Meter Data Management, PI System, and related tools.
• Maintain operating procedures and incident/change/asset/configuration records.
• Identify opportunities to automate work, strengthen monitoring, improve cybersecurity and compliance, and reduce manual intervention.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Serve as SME for metering/historian platforms; lead complex investigations, data-quality initiatives, and cross-functional projects.
• Provide mentoring, knowledge transfer, and train team members and stakeholders.
