Join Core & Main’s Metering team and play a key role in helping utilities modernize how they measure, manage, and optimize water and energy usage. This role blends technical expertise, customer engagement, and solution-based sales to support municipalities, contractors, and utility providers with advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), automated meter reading (AMR), and data-driven technologies.
As a Meter Specialist, you will serve as the go-to expert on metering systems, including meters, endpoints, network infrastructure, and software platforms that enable real-time data collection, leak detection, usage monitoring, and system efficiency. You will partner closely with customers to design and implement solutions that improve operational visibility and long-term infrastructure performance.
This is a hands-on role that combines office-based support with fieldwork, including system troubleshooting, product installation support, and customer training.
