Job summary

Indiana Michigan Power Company is hiring an MRO Specialist to read, install, test, and service electric meters energized up to 260 volts. You’ll perform disconnects/reconnects for non-payment and maintain tool/vehicle readiness while documenting activities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and successful completion of the company’s training program. Overtime, weekend work, and a strong safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; valid driver's license.
• Ability to read meters and perform basic electrical tests.
• Willingness to complete company training and on-the-job mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Read meters for field orders and cycle billing.
• Install, program, remove, disconnect, and reconnect meters up to 260 V.
• Test meters for proper operation and accuracy; repair as needed.
• Handle credit/collections orders including disconnects for non-payment.
• Maintain records, tools, equipment, and work area; operate related vehicles.
• Work overtime, late shifts, weekends, and participate in safety training.
