Job summary

Vector Talent Solutions is seeking an Electric Meter Exchange Technician for a role based in the Lakeville, Indiana area. The position supports field service tasks, meter installation and testing, and data entry using handheld devices, with union membership potential within 30 days of hire.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, outdoor work experience, and a valid driver’s license. W electrical experience and safety adherence are a plus, with standard truck provided and overtime

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working outdoors (landscaping, construction, painting, roofing, etc.).
• Willingness to join the union within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with general electrical work is a plus.
• Experience with utility locating is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (motor vehicle record will be checked).
• Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service tasks including equipment repair and maintenance.
• Install and inspect new meters to ensure proper functionality.
• Inspect meters and related instruments for correct wiring connections.
• Operate a light truck to load and unload equipment and travel to work sites.
• Use handheld devices to enter meter data and program electronic watt-hour meters.
• Adhere to scheduling and attendance requirements.
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment.
• Evaluate meter testing results to make adjustments.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
