Interns participate in training, check-ins, and professional development events designed to build confidence and career readiness. Interns work on real department projects, developing data inventories, SOPs, dashboards, and data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university undergraduate or graduate program.
• Studying Data Analytics, MIS, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
• Curious, dependable, organized, and receptive to coaching and feedback.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to appropriately handle company data and information.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a Meter Services mentor to learn department operations, data sources, and business processes.
• Complete guided projects involving data cleanup, validation, organization, and analysis.
• Help create data inventories, SOPs, work instructions, checklists, and process maps.
• Build experience with reports, dashboards, data summaries, and improvement activities.
• Participate in coaching, training, regular check-ins, and professional development.
• Present completed work, lessons learned, and recommendations to the team.

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analytics Intern to join our Meter Services team!

This internship is a guided development opportunity for a student interested in data analytics and utility operations. Working closely with Meter Services mentors, the intern will receive coaching, regular feedback, and hands‑on experience with real department projects.The succesful candidate will build practical skills in data cleanup, reporting, process documentation, and continuous improvement while learning how accurate information supports business decisions. The program is designed to strengthen professional confidence, technical ability, and career readiness.
