Job summary

The Metals Testing Laboratory Technician role at Energy Jobline ZR involves performing a variety of tests to analyze mechanical, chemical and physical properties of metals. You will prepare samples, conduct chemical analyses, tensile, hardness and microscopic tests, and report results.

You will calibrate and maintain lab equipment, ensure data accuracy, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with engineers and other professionals to support quality control and production timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Material Science or related experience.
• Experience in materials testing or metal processing.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment and related software; MS Office and ERP.
• Good written and verbal communication for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and perform chemical, tensile, hardness, and microscopic tests.
• Record results and generate reports.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Ensure quality control and data accuracy.
• Follow safety procedures in the lab.
• Conduct metallurgical and chemical testing including hydrogen embrittlement and grain size.
