Job summary

CPP Corporation is seeking a Metals Operator to support aerospace parts manufacturing at our Albany, Oregon facility. The role involves identifying, separating, cleaning, cutting, sorting and delivering titanium metal, with daily tasks across production and quality control.

The position offers a Day shift (Mon-Fri 7:00 am – 3:30 pm) with voluntary OT, and a comprehensive benefits package including quarterly bonus, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and company-paid life insurance. U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires reading, understanding and following written and verbal instructions.
• Good attendance record is required.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Metals Operator - Aerospace Parts Manufacturing - Weekday Shift

Primary Purpose:

A Titanium Metals Operator will be responsible for identifying, separating, cleaning, cutting, sorting, and delivering metal.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify and separate metal.
• Responsible for production and quality of metal.
• Assist with production duties in the Ingot and Casting departments.
• Report any issues with metal and/or equipment.
• Monitor cleaning equipment and transport metal to and from Chem Mill area.
• Requires individual to be organized and efficient with tasks and duties and requires an attention to details and ability to work as a team member.
• Driving and material transportation may constitute a significant portion of regular work schedule
• Operate company flatbed to safely transport, load, and unload materials, equipment and supplies between company facilities, and other designated locations
• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure materials are properly secured and transported in accordance with company policies and applicable laws

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• The physical effort applied in this job includes lifting, pulling, reaching, manipulating, carrying, pushing, and shoveling.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Good attendance record required.
• Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to withstand long periods of standing and walking.
• HS diploma or equivalent GED required, but candidates not meeting this requirement who possesses relevant experience will be considered.
• Solid job history including more than 1 year at previous or recent employer.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment background check.
• Must take a base line hearing test prior to starting.
• Must have a clearMotor Vehicle Record.

Working Conditions:

• The job is performed under reasonably good working conditions with some exposure to noise, temperature, and machinery.

Schedule:

• Day Shift - Mon-Fri 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
• OT available on voluntary basis and based on business need
