CPP Corporation, a leading aerospace metals supplier with facilities in Albany, OR, is hiring a Metals Operator to identify, separate, clean, cut, sort and deliver titanium and other metals for aerospace components.

This full-time, weekday day shift offers a quarterly bonus, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits. Candidates must lift up to 50 lbs, read and follow instructions, and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations.

• Able to stand and walk for long periods.
• HS diploma or GED required; relevant experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Identify and separate metal.
• Responsible for production and quality of metal.
• Assist with production duties in Ingot and Casting departments.
• Report issues with metal and/or equipment.
• Monitor cleaning equipment and transport metal to and from Chem Mill area.
• Operate company flatbed to transport materials between facilities and other locations.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure proper securing of materials.

Metals Operator - Aerospace Parts Manufacturing - Weekday Shift

Primary Purpose:

A Titanium Metals Operator will be responsible for identifying, separating, cleaning, cutting, sorting, and delivering metal.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify and separate metal.
• Responsible for production and quality of metal.
• Assist with production duties in the Ingot and Casting departments.
• Report any issues with metal and/or equipment.
• Monitor cleaning equipment and transport metal to and from Chem Mill area.
• Requires individual to be organized and efficient with tasks and duties and requires an attention to details and ability to work as a team member.
• Driving and material transportation may constitute a significant portion of regular work schedule
• Operate company flatbed to safely transport, load, and unload materials, equipment and supplies between company facilities, and other designated locations
• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure materials are properly secured and transported in accordance with company policies and applicable laws

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• The physical effort applied in this job includes lifting, pulling, reaching, manipulating, carrying, pushing, and shoveling.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Good attendance record required.
• Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to withstand long periods of standing and walking.
• HS diploma or equivalent GED required, but candidates not meeting this requirement who possesses relevant experience will be considered.
• Solid job history including more than 1 year at previous or recent employer.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment background check.
• Must take a base line hearing test prior to starting.
• Must have a clearMotor Vehicle Record.

Working Conditions:

• The job is performed under reasonably good working conditions with some exposure to noise, temperature, and machinery.

Schedule:

• Day Shift - Mon-Fri 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
• OT available on voluntary basis and based on business need
