IMS Gear Georgia is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead 3rd shift manufacturing operations in Gainesville, GA facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing employees, solving production challenges, and driving continuous improvement.

This role oversees production performance, employee development, safety compliance, and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 to 5+ years of manufacturing leadership in a high-volume environment.
• Previous supervisor, team lead, or leadership experience.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, or similar continuous improvement tools.
• Knowledge of OSHA, quality systems, and manufacturing best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze production data and make sound operational decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily manufacturing activities to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
• Coordinate staffing, equipment, materials, and workflow for maximum efficiency.
• Monitor key performance metrics including productivity, downtime, scrap, labor utilization, and quality.
• Troubleshoot production challenges and implement corrective actions.

What You'll Do

Lead Production Operations

• Supervise daily manufacturing activities to meet production schedules and customer requirements
• Coordinate staffing, equipment, materials, and workflow for maximum efficiency
• Monitor key performance metrics including productivity, downtime, scrap, labor utilization, and quality
• Troubleshoot production challenges and implement corrective actions
• Partner with Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to support operational goals
• Ensure production records, reports, and documentation are completed accurately

Develop and Lead Your Team

• Coach, mentor, and develop production employees
• Set performance expectations and hold team members accountable
• Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training activities
• Conduct performance discussions and employee coaching
• Foster a positive, safe, and collaborative work environment

Promote Safety & Quality

• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA requirements
• Conduct safety meetings, audits, and investigations as needed
• Drive quality standards and support compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 systems
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste, defects, and downtime

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 to 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a high-volume production environment
• Previous supervisor, team lead, or leadership experience
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, or similar continuous improvement tools
• Knowledge of OSHA, quality systems, and manufacturing best practices
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to analyze production data and make sound operational decisions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems

Physical Requirements

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Pushing and pulling up to 250 lbs. using material handling equipment
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
