Didion Orf Recycling is expanding and is looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative/Buyer in Training. This role involves hands-on training, where you will learn to assess and manage scrap metal inventory while providing excellent customer service. Candidates should have a high school diploma, sales experience is preferred, and a strong desire to learn in a fast-paced environment. Starting pay is $22–25 per hour, plus incentives, along with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and retirement plans.
Qualifications
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Prior experience in sales and negotiations is preferred.
Prior knowledge and/or strong interest in the recycling industry is required.
Responsibilities
Unload metals and electronics from customer vehicles.
Assist with purchasing scrap metal from customers.
Learn to evaluate the quality and value of various metals.
Help maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory.
Provide excellent customer service and lead satisfaction initiatives.
Educate customers on accepted items for recycling.
