Job summary

PTC is a leading manufacturer of welded and cold drawn steel tubing and fabricated parts. This role supports production and customer service teams, bridging engineering, quality assurance, and customer support to ensure technical standards are met and orders fulfilled with precision.

Ideal candidates will have a metallurgy background, 5+ years in manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with ISO/IATF quality systems, Six Sigma, and ERP tools.

Qualifications

• BS in metallurgy or related engineering field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing/technical services in steel or metal forming.
• Proficiency with ASTM/SAE standards and reading drawings.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and MS Office.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems.
• Lean, Six Sigma, and CQI methods for process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical liaison between production, QA, sales and customers.
• Interpret product specifications and industry standards; communicate requirements.
• Troubleshoot welding, cold drawing, heat treating, machining and tolerances.
• Prepare product certifications, mechanical test reports, and data packages.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma.
