Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Branford, CT seeks a Lab Technologist (Metallurgy) to support production through sample prep, evaluation, and timely material release. You will interpret specifications and maintain lab policies, with a path to metallography certification.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and lab equipment experience; preferred 3 years of lab testing and 2–3 years in metallurgy. This is an on-site position with comprehensive benefits and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience with laboratory equipment.
• Preferred: 3 years of lab testing experience.
• Preferred: 2–3 years of Metallurgy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample preparation and evaluation in support of production.
• Independently make judgments regarding the acceptability or rejection of materials.
• Implement and maintain lab policies, procedures, and documents.
• Interpret specifications and customer product requirements to timely release tested sample material to production.
