Qualifications

• Experience in a metallurgical engineering or metallurgist capacity.
• Experience in foundry manufacturing, quality, technical customer service, and management of outside suppliers or subcontractors.

Quality Manager/Metallurgist

The Quality Manager/Metallurgist is responsible for assuring that all castings meet the customer’s specifications and expectations for performance.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a voice of the customer ensuring that the company addresses customer quality issues.
• Serves as management representative for Quality System.
• Lead department managers in problem solving exercises to drill to root cause.
• Ensures that the company and its suppliers provide products that exceed customer quality expectations.
• Contributes to the overall success of the Company by contributing ideas, sharing expertise, and supporting the implementation of innovative programs, processes and procedures that improve performance and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Metallurgy or Quality Management Preferred
• Experience in a metallurgical engineering or metallurgist capacity
• Previous experience in the following areas: foundry manufacturing, quality, technical customer service, management of outside suppliers or subcontractors
