Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in Houston, TX, is seeking a detail-oriented specialist to create part requirements within the QMS.

You will review customer orders, specifications and drawings to set up required metallurgical testing, heat treatment and inspections for each part, ensuring compliance with customer flow-downs. The role involves preparing Metallurgical Process Instructions in the MSQS Oracle database, reviewing and distributing certifications, and collaborating with internal teams

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to interpret blueprints is desirable.
• Experience with Oracle ERP is strongly preferred.
• CAD experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive review of customer requirements (POs, drawings, specs) and translate into internal metallurgical instructions.
• Prepare Metallurgical Process Instructions and Metallurgical Test Requirements in Oracle-based MSQS Database.
• Review, distribute and maintain customer specifications.
• Interact with external customers and internal departments.
• Support Certification group with compiling, reviewing, and distributing certifications; weekend support may be needed.
