Responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve production targets and business objectives.
• Manage a team of metallurgists, engineers, and plant operators, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee metallurgical accounting and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Implement and champion continuous improvement programs (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

About the Role

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is advantageous.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mineral processing operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven track record of managing complex beneficiation plants, ideally focusing on relevant commodities in the Northern Cape .
• In-depth knowledge of comminution, flotation, gravity separation, and other relevant metallurgical processes.
• Strong understanding of process control, automation, and data analysis in a plant environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning abilities.
