Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of metallurgical process engineering experience in mining preferred.
• Experience with comminution, flotation, leaching, and mineral processing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize existing metallurgical processes to improve recovery and reduce costs.
• Design and conduct pilot plant and laboratory tests to evaluate new processing technologies.
• Develop process simulations and models to predict and improve performance.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in metallurgical process engineering, preferably within the mining industry.


• Proven experience with comminution, flotation, leaching, and other relevant mineral processing techniques.


• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., METSIM, HSC Chemistry) and data analysis tools.


• Strong understanding of chemical principles and material science related to mineral processing.


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.


• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.


• Ability to manage projects and work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and on-site duties.


• Familiarity with operations in the Welkom area is an advantage.
