Job summary

Kymera International in Detroit, MI, is seeking a Process Engineer with a strong background in metallurgical engineering and materials science to lead process improvement and new product development in molten metal environments.

You will drive technology transfer to Manufacturing, develop SOPs and Work Station Procedures, and provide technical support to Production, Sales and Quality teams while ensuring safety and alignment with the company quality systems.

Qualifications

BS in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering or a similar science major.
5-7 years of experience in a molten/hot metals manufacturing environment with emphasis on process improvement and new product development.
General metallurgical laboratory skills.
Proven ability to lead with focus, deliver results, and manage multiple priorities with timely results.

Responsibilities

Provide metallurgical, technical and scientific expertise to Manufacturing to improve products and processes.
Lead the transfer of all process improvements and new products to Manufacturing.
Generate Standard Operating Procedures and Work Station Procedures; ensure safety and quality system integration.
Document process engineering activities and generate reports for management and stakeholders.
Provide technical support to Production, Sales and Quality teams as needed.
