Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Metallurgical Lab Technician to join our team in Nevada. The role supports metallurgical studies, maintains lab equipment, and ensures accurate sample processing and reporting in a fast-paced processing facility.

The candidate will work with LIMS, review testing protocols, and may use XRD, SEM, MLA and optical microscopy as needed. Strong safety awareness and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in metallurgical, laboratory and processing analyses preferred.
• Able to collect samples, process and report results accurately.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry in LIMS.
• Awareness of occupational hazards and safety practices.
• Strong organizational skills for high sample volumes.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Knowledge of chemical and laboratory testwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist metallurgical studies by executing sampling plans and analyzing samples.
• Maintain laboratory and analytical equipment used in the process facility.
• Stock laboratory supplies and manage inventory.
• Review new or enhanced Metallurgical testing equipment or protocols.
• Comply with applicable programs and regulations for the area.
• Log samples into LIMS and process results into spreadsheets.
• Use XRD, SEM, MLA and optical microscopy as needed.
