Job summary

Wagstaff Inc. seeks an engineering professional to apply technical knowledge at customer sites, including evaluating locations, reading data, and developing optimization recommendations for Wagstaff equipment. Travel domestically and internationally is required.

The role involves pre-sales evaluations, start-ups, and collaboration with customers and the Technical Service team to enhance cast house operations and equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science, or equivalent experience required.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret molten metal quality data to optimize casting equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and/or perform pre-sales technical site evaluations, installations and start-ups of Wagstaff equipment.
• Provide guidance and training to customers and service personnel on installation and operation of Wagstaff equipment and optimization of cast house operations.
• Read, analyze and interpret data to develop recommendations to improve casting equipment performance.
• Manage installation at customer sites ensuring specifications are met and equipment operates effectively.
• Draft/review technical papers for publication or presentation at industry conferences.
