Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Principal Casting & Metallurgical Engineer to provide technical leadership across multiple manufacturing facilities. You will act as the expert on molten metal processing, casting technology, metallurgical troubleshooting, and process development, driving operational excellence initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years supporting casting, metallurgy, molten metal processing, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience with casting process optimization, defect reduction, RCA, and process improvement.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical expert for casting, melting, and molten metal processes across locations.
• Lead troubleshooting on casting quality, metal recovery, process variability, and operations.
• Develop and implement best practices to improve quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with plant leadership, engineering, operations, quality, and R&D to solve challenges.
• Lead cross-functional tech and process improvement initiatives.
• Analyze production data to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Support new technology evaluations and implementation of casting processes.
• Train and mentor engineers, metallurgists, and operations staff.
• Standardize technical practices and drive knowledge sharing.
• Support capacity improvement through process optimization and workflow improvements.
• Promote operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
