Job summary

i-80 Gold Corp is seeking a Metallurgical Engineer to provide technical support for gold processing operations, monitor plant performance, run laboratory tests, and identify opportunities to maximize recovery. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and site personnel to ensure safe, efficient production and continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical fields and 3–5 years of operations metallurgy experience, with a focus on gold and precious metals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Mineral Processing, or Chemical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of operations metallurgy experience; gold and precious metals preferred.
• Safety mindset and proactive approach to technical challenges.
• Strong communication and teamwork across diverse levels of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Granite Creek ore agreements, liaise with third parties, and report findings.
• Metallurgical accounting and site balances; manage gold inventory and liaison with refiners.
• Create metallurgical reports and monitor plant performance (heap leaching, ADR, water treatment).
• Support production forecasting and ore control with geologists and engineers.
• Develop metallurgical testing programs to improve production efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Assist with site improvements and support feasibility studies (Lone Tree Autoclave project).
• Based in Reno with frequent site visits; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
