Responsibilities

• Serve as metallurgical resource for manufacturing and operations teams.
• Support investigations related to quality concerns, process variability, and production performance.
• Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Assist with manufacturing trials, process evaluations, and implementation of operational improvements.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, operations, quality, and supply chain personnel.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, and process standards.
• Support customer and supplier technical inquiries when needed.
• Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
• Assist with equipment evaluations and manufacturing improvement projects.
• Provide technical recommendations regarding materials, products, and manufacturing processes.
• Monitor and evaluate process performance and recommend improvements where appropriate.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to management and project teams.
• Support compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

The successful candidate will enjoy working in a hands-on manufacturing environment and applying technical expertise to improve product consistency, operational efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, production, processing, or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of metallurgical principles, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience supporting operational improvements, quality initiatives, engineering projects, or manufacturing troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Comfortable spending time on the manufacturing floor interacting with production personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with manufacturing materials, industrial products, or production processes.
• Exposure to quality systems, continuous improvement programs, or manufacturing analytics.
• Familiarity with process monitoring, production metrics, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting investigations into product quality or manufacturing issues.
• Understanding of root cause analysis methodologies.
• Experience supporting equipment upgrades, process changes, or operational improvement projects.
• Project management or project coordination experience.
• Manufacturing environment experience involving regulated quality standards.
