Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) invites a motivated metallurgical/chemical engineering student to join a co-op placement at the world’s largest gold-producing complex. You will collaborate with production, maintenance, and support teams to drive projects from design to commissioning.

The role emphasizes environmental compliance, process improvement, and data-driven automation initiatives. A strong academic record and commitment starting January 2027 are required.

Competenze

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate metallurgy/chemical engineering program.
• Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
• Minimum eight-month commitment starting in January 2027.
• Ability to research, analyze information, and draw conclusions.
• Knowledge of water treatment processes (preferred).
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Basic knowledge of modelling/simulation tools (JKSIMMET, METSIM) (preferred).
• Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple projects.

Mansioni

• Work with production and maintenance supervision and other departments to ensure environmental compliance and safe plant operation.
• Assist projects through all stages of design, construction, and commissioning.
• Support automation initiatives for data collection and process variance control.
• Contribute to process assessments to maximize throughput and reduce costs.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental protection for employees and assets.
