CareerNerds, LLC is seeking a hands-on Metallurgical Engineer to improve large alloy castings for aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. You will work on lab and shop-floor projects with a team of nine metallurgists, applying your metallurgy skills to optimize performance and quality.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering, materials science, or related field.
• Minimum two years in foundry, casting operation, or metals manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of casting processes and metallurgical principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with customers.
• Accountability, initiative, and able to manage priorities.
• Comfortable in both office and production environments.

Responsabilidades

• Improve alloy performance, casting processes, and product quality from lab or shop floor.
• Support melting, casting, heat treatment, and finishing operations.
• Review customer specifications and technical requirements.
• Analyze metallurgical data, microstructures, and mechanical properties.
• Troubleshoot quality and production challenges via root cause analysis.
• Partner with operations, quality, engineering, sales, and customers to deliver solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, certifications, and customer documentation.
