TBT GROUP INC in Bellmawr, NJ is seeking a skilled Metallizing Operator to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role supports our production process in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing precision and reliability.

Shift differential: $.50. You will operate metalizing equipment, prepare ceramic components, monitor coating quality, document production activity, and collaborate with fellow operators to meet schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints, work orders, and specs.
• Experience with precision measuring tools.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
• Ability to operate and adjust metalizing equipment.
• Familiarity with safety procedures in manufacturing.
• Prior experience in metallizing or powder processes is a plus.
• Team-oriented and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Operate metalizing equipment to apply metallic coatings to ceramic components according to procedures and production specifications.
• Prepare, clean, and position ceramic components for metalizing per processing requirements.
• Set up and adjust metalizing equipment to support production operations.
• Monitor metalizing processes and conditions to ensure consistent coating and product quality.
• Inspect metalized components for coating defects, adhesion, and coverage.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and quality issues to supervisor.
• Ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are available to complete tasks.
• Perform routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and minor adjustments per procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records and required documentation.
• Follow safety procedures, company policies, and quality control requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area per standards.
• Handle, identify, and store ceramic components and materials per procedures.
• Communicate production issues to Lead Operator or Shop Supervisor.
• Collaborate with other production personnel to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Perform other related duties as required.

About the Role

TBT GROUP INC is looking for a skilled Metallizing Operator to join our manufacturing team in Bellmawr, NJ. Shift Differential: $.50

Required PPE (Company Provided): Lab Coats, Gloves, Safety Glasses, and Respirator.

Responsibilities

• Operate metalizing equipment to apply metallic coatings to ceramic components according to established procedures and production specifications.
• Prepare, clean, and position ceramic components for metalizing in accordance with established processing requirements.
• Set up and adjust metalizing equipment as needed to support production operations.
• Monitor metalizing processes and operating conditions to ensure consistent coating application and product quality.
• Inspect metalized components for coating defects, incomplete coverage, poor adhesion, and other quality discrepancies.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and product quality issues to the Lead Metalizing Operator or Shop Supervisor.
• Ensure required materials, supplies, and equipment are available to complete assigned production tasks.
• Perform routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and minor adjustments in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records, document processing activities, and complete required production travelers and inspection documentation.
• Follow all established safety procedures, Company policies, and quality control requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with Company standards.
• Properly handle, identify, and store ceramic components and metalizing materials in accordance with Company procedures.
• Communicate production issues, material shortages, and equipment concerns to the Lead Metalizing Operator or Shop Supervisor.
• Work cooperatively with other production personnel to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required by the Company.

Requirements

• Prior experience operating metallizing equipment or similar industrial preferred but not required
• Familiarity with powder metallurgy or compaction processes is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
